Poll: What should be done with Hooten Reserve?
A neglected empty lot, just minutes from parking chaos, holds the obvious solution to one of Albany's biggest problems, an Auckland Councillor says.
Car parks are scarce in an area that is home to 4500 commercial properties that employee more than 28,000 staff, as well as an extensive university campus, a sports stadium and a popular bus station.
Albany ward councillor John Watson said "significant parking constraints" could be alleviated with a some painted lines and a transformation of Hooton Reserve.
