The rate (an extra $150 a year/$2.90 a week) is expected to raise $46 million over 10 years and has already seen three new bus services to connect residents to the rest of the city. The RTTR is the first targeted transport rate within the Auckland region.
We'd like to know if you think your area would benefit from a targeted transport rate to kick-start local projects. Vote in our poll below and let us know in the comments.

A mother is in disbelief after her two-year-old boy was rammed with a trolley by a lady who had a problem with him having a tantrum at Kmart in Albany. When the boy's mother had her back turned, the woman also punched the child in the head, CCTV footage revealed. Police inquiries are ongoing.

Hi neighbours!
Looking for a three quarter size classical guitar with plastic strings as my 7 year old is ready to transition from her ukelele. If anyone has an old one (perhaps from when your child transitioned to a full size guitar?), please let me know!
Many thanks,
Kira
