Quite a morning we had!

Pablo Delgado from Beach Haven and Birkdale Community Watch

"QUITE A MORNING WE HAD. We cleared up the clothes that were just dumped in the car park at Sheppards Park. We found it difficult to ignore, and we blame the influence of our kaumatua Whaea Jo who cannot tolerate a mess being left behind in our public places ๐Ÿ˜ We also helped 2 cars that broke down on Rangatira Road only 1 meter away from each other. One of the drivers needed petrol โ›ฝ and couldn't walk due to ankle injury, so we drove her to the Caltex ourselves. A really nice lady who shares our passion for the volunteering lifestyle. We hope she finds her perfect new home here and we will see her again. "BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN. NOT NEGOTIABLE. HOW WE DEAL WITH IT....IS" - Keanu Reeves.
We hope to bump into all of you again soon. Kia pai tลu rฤ โค๏ธ (Have a great day)"

Home made bread problem

Karen from Totara Vale

Is anyone else having trouble with bread dough not rising properly?

I used to be able to turn out a decent loaf but now the bread is half the height - if that - and very dense.

I've used 4 different brands of yeast including the type bakers use to no avail. I've changed the flour to the best available and I've followed the recipe meticulously.

It can only be the flour?

What do you think?
