Knife Sharpening - Razor Sharp Cold Stone Technique

Justin from Henderson

Hello Neighbours,

I'm able to sharpen your kitchen, hunting, utility, camping and pocket knives to a very keen finish. There's few things more irritating (and potentially dangerous) than a blunt knife! I am also looking into obtaining equipment for axe and scissor sharpening in the future.

All knifes will be shaving and paper slicing sharp when returned to to you.

I use hand driven cold stone techniques, preventing heat based damage to the metal temper of your knives. Each blade is carefully protected with a removable plastic shield coating during the sharpening process to prevent scratches to your blade.

$15 per knife, and a discount of 20% if you meet any of the below:

- Have more than 5x knives in need of sharpening.
- Are over 65 years of age.
- Have a current student ID card.
- Have a current community services card.

You are able to drop off and pickup your knives to me (48 hours turnaround time). Or I am very happy to pick up, sharpen and return your knife to you for an additional $5 - The old car beast runs on dinosaurs and feeding isn't cheap!

I'm available on 027 836 0604 (txt or call anytime).

Edited on 27/10/2016 with extra info on what I can/not sharpen, added my phone number, and made pricing structure a little simpler. Thanks for the enthusiastic response and great questions!

Price: $15

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
