Quick-thinking stranger saves Mt Roskill man's life

Caroline Williams Reporter from Central Leader

Jay Kumar technically shouldn't be alive today, but he is, thanks to the quick actions of those around him when he went into cardiac arrest at Mercury Plaza foodcourt last September.

The Mt Roskill local was given CPR by a bystander until emergency services arrived, which he credits with saving his life.

He doesn't know who the person was, but says it was a "godsend" they were there.
