Using an Auckland Council rubbish bin tag at home?
Please make sure you follow these steps during the COVID-19 Alert level 3 to ensure your rubbish bin is emptied on collection day.
BUY – rubbish bin tags at your local supermarket
TAG – attach a new bin tag to your bin before placing it at kerbside for collection
COLLECT – only bins with tags on will be emptied on your collection day
Once emptied, bring your bin in and sterilise the bin handles. Wash your hands thoroughly.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
