Book donations wanted for Great Auckland Bargain Book Sale

Hi neighbours,

I'm a volunteer for the Great Auckland Bargain Book Sale which will be holding its 30th sale at Barfoot & Thompson Stadium on the 1st and 2nd of November.

We are accepting donations of books, puzzles, games, DVDs, CDs and vinyl records in good condition.

We accept:
Good condition, re-sellable fiction and non-fiction books
Children’s books
DVDs and CDs
Puzzles and games
Records & vinyl

Save the dates:
Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November 2025 at Barfoot & Thompson Stadium, 203 Kohimarama Road.

The drop-off location is behind Barfoot & Thompson Stadium (see the map). Gates open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
