Chair role change at Albert-Eden Local Board
The Albert-Eden Local Board chair is set to change on May 22.
Lee Corrick will assume duties as chair and Margi Watson will become deputy chair.
Outgoing chair Margi Watson said it had been her privilege to serve the Albert-Eden communities.
"Over this duration we have achieved good outcomes for the area in spite of the challenges COVID-19 brought and I’m proud of the work we have done.
"... I'm looking forward to supporting Lee in her new role and continuing to work with her as deputy chair. "
It is not unusual for local boards to share roles throughout the three-year term, Auckland Council said.

How does 9 days without your phone sound?
Hi Neighbours, I was lucky enough to spend 9 days recently training in mindfulness - no phone, no news, almost no talk - just paying attention to my experience, at a peaceful off-grid centre in the Coromandel.
It was pretty amazing, but I don't suggest you try that length at first, what about starting with an hour?
Come and soothe body and mind with a small group for a gentle mindfulness session of ease and peace. The session includes gentle movement and relaxing simple meditation.
Next one is on Tue 7th of May 1 - 2.15pm, Meadowbank Community Centre. Come and see what it is like! Contact me - the first session free, then Koha welcome. 021 255 1485
