National's Denise Lee stays on as Maungakiekie MP - just

Brittany Keogh Reporter from Central Leader

Hi neighbours, If you live in One Tree Hill or Oranga, National's Denise Lee is your local MP, after she narrowly won the candidate vote in the Maungakiekie electorate. Lee beat Priyanca Radhakrishnan, who is a Labour list MP, by just 580 votes on Saturday. The result surprised a politics expert who expected Radhakrishnan to win.

Poll: Do you support the idea of sustainable gifting?

Lexi from Newmarket

Hi I'm a yr12 Epsom Girls Grammar student conducting a brief poll to find out whether there is support for adapting a sustainable approach over conventional gifting practices.

Sustainable gifting is choosing multi-purpose and/or eco-friendly products and recyclable packaging rather than random, impulsive products that may be thrown away later and single use packaging such as wrapping paper and non-recyclable cellophane/plastic.

This is a part of my Environmental Studies internal project and I would really appreciate if you took a minute of your time to answer 1 question.

Do you support the idea of sustainable gifting?
  • 79.5% Yes, I'm all for it!
    79.5% Complete
  • 6.8% I'd consider it, but it wouldn't be my first choice

  • 13.6% Not really
