Pumpstation at Mairangi Bay - meet the contractor
Great to see the so many residents of the Mairangi Bay & Murrays Bay Community on Saturday morning.
Congratulations to Watercare for putting on a successful meet and greet with a BBQ. This provided a great opportunity for residents to discuss the much needed upgrade to the pumpstation in Mairangi Bay which will ultimately reduce stormwater overflow into the Hauraki Gulf. Watercare, your proactiveness to engage with our community has been really well received.
I also recieved a laundry list of other council issues from friends in our community which I will work through over the coming days.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
