“Excavations for Glenfield Centre, Sept. 1984, looking from Bentley Avenue across the Skatelands building to Downing Street. The roofline of the Glenfield Tavern is just visible below Glenfield Road and Downing Street Reserve is undeveloped. Retaining walls have been started below the Foodtown carpark. Two diggers are loading a truck with soil with two cranes operating on site. In the foreground are large drainage pipes.”

Newcomers Coffee group in Birkdale House

Laure from Birkdale

Best way to finish the week!
Drop off the kids at school, come to your Community House, find out what's happening and share a cup of tea or coffee with others, Newcomers and Kiwis.
A wonderful space to practice speaking English too.
