Should John Tamihere stop the waste collection changes?

Todd Niall Reporter from North Shore Times

Hi Neighbours, John Tamihere would unwind change and proposed changes to household waste collection. No food scraps collection, and keep general waste at weekly instead of fortnightly. Do you think it's a good idea? Read the story below.

Hi,

Looking for a handy-man (woman) to do some odd jobs here and there on a couple of rental properties around the area, as getting a bit much for my father to do just by himself. If reliable and good work ethic the odd jobs could become more consistent (4 properties) i.e. you would essentially become our go-to person for maintenance work. Please email me liam.l.w@gmail.com if you are interested :)

Have you seen our cookbook?

Mei Leng Wong Reporter from NZ Gardener & Get Growing

This great cookbook of harvest recipes (many of which were mined from our archives) was so much fun to put together. It's free with our September issue, and we'd like to thank our friends at Webstar for making it possible. It helped make our anniversary issue feel so special.

They were a great ocean tribe far advanced for their time, plying the Pacific and bringing riches to their shores that no people in that time and place possessed. One tale is of a famous Ship's Master named Turth who was famed for the way he travelled seas so swiftly and always returned with great treasure, far richer than any had found.

Shiploads of gold and silver, precious gems, rare spices and metals forged to unheard of hardness had made him one of the richest and most powerful men in the land. Yet, Turth, unlike other master mariners, had remained humble and he treated his men honestly and well. [SEE THE ATTACHMENT]

Great to see these signs popping up to help make it easier to find your way around wider-Glenfield on foot! We've expanded our successful Birkdale walkway signage project into Glenfield, Hillcrest, Bayview, Totara Vale and Wairau Valley.
Pictured is one of the new directional signs to tell you that there is a walkway on the road. New signs will soon be installed at each end of the walkway to tell you where it leads and how long the walking time is.
