Elderly woman attacked and robbed in Beach Haven - Police appeal

EDIT: The two people have now been identified and police are making inquiries.

Kia ora neighbours, an elderly woman was assaulted and robbed in Beach Haven, sparking police to ask for help in identifying two people.

On August 14, a 78-year-old woman boarded a bus from Birkenhead shops to Beach Haven, before she was followed and attacked.

A man and woman assaulted the elderly person and took a number of items including her handbag.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA)

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times. Find out more
