What would we call an independent North Shore?
Hi neighbours A North Shore woman is trying to initiate a referendum on an North Shore city state, split from the rest of New Zealand, with its own monetary system. Miriam Clements' idea has caused a bit of a stir and inspired a lot of comment on social media. I am wondering what we would call a North Shore country, if one were formed. What are your ideas? Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
