Poll: Yay or nay to tourist fees? ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ฐ

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Kiwis love tourism ... it brings in cash and connection. But with more visitors comes more pressure on our beautiful places, housing, and local infrastructure.

So whatโ€™s the fix? Should we bring in a tourism tax or focus on spreading visitors beyond the hotspots to ease the load? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Interested in what kiwis have to say? Andrea Vance shares some opinions in the Post.

Poll: If you had a bit of spare cash, would you 'buy' into a pest-free island?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Kiwis have always had a soft spot for our animal friends. With so many unique and quirky birds and marine species calling Aotearoa home, itโ€™s only natural that we feel a deep drive to protect them ๐Ÿง๐Ÿฆญ

These days, weโ€™re getting pretty creative about how we do it too. The latest idea? You can actually buy a symbolic piece of one of New Zealandโ€™s most remote islands as part of the Auckland Island Restoration Project.

If you had a bit of spare cash, would you 'buy' into the project?
And maybe the bigger question โ€” should we be looking at doing the same kind of thing for wildlife refuges on our main islands too?
