Poll: Could we live without public bins?
Many public rubbish bins are being removed by councils due to the large costs of regularly emptying them. Do you think we can adapt and live without them?

New World's 'Fresh Friday'
Not sure if it is just our local one but two weeks ago they had Granny Smith at $1.99/kg (and I bought a lot and made three excellent Apple Crumbles), last week it was Oranges at $1.99, and yesterday it was Bananas at $1.99 (and I see a Banana Cake in my near future … which isn't surprising as I'll make it myself). Kudos - affordable fruit and veggies is to be applauded.
