Laingholm landslip 'growing', residents face months of detours
Kia ora neighbours, residents of badly damaged Laingholm Drive face months of long detours after a bad slip.
In mid-June, the footpath on the road collapsed and it was cracked apart by a burst water main.
A section of the road has been blocked to traffic since and residents have been told it will take months to fix.
Residents now have to detour along Huia Rd to Victory Rd to access their homes.
Harry Gibbs, who lives near the slip with his partner and 5-month-old baby, said it now took 25 minutes to get to the supermarket in nearby Titirangi when it used to take eight.
