My lovely, ugly pansy shades. 😃
I took the two fugliest pieces of fabric I could find (because I didn't want to do anything else with them!), and made a shade cloth for my pansies today. 😃 It works beautifully. 😃 Also, I've got Californian poppies open in my garden today. 😃

I would say the story underscores the stupidity of Xmas gifts … after all, it is not YOUR birthday, so how about donating something to good causes and otherwise enjoying being together?
