A raft of new coronavirus testing centres have opened across Auckland following the confirmation of a new community cluster in south Auckland.
Following the announcement on Tuesday night, the Northern Regional Health Co-ordination Centre recorded over 7800 Covid-19 tests on Wednesday, beating the previous record of 6407 tests on June 23.
Anyone experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms should seek to get a free Covid-19 test at their local general practice, urgent care clinic or one of Auckland's 15 community testing centres.
