Excitement of Xmas and the new build

Residents staff and Patients had an extremely enjoyable time over Xmas and New Year with special dinners enjoyed by all mid December and another on the day for those who spent Xmas with us. Many were able to enjoy the special day with their family.

The excitement of that time has now transferred to anticipation of moving into our new facility with the build scheduled to be finished in February. Residents are now able to think about where their new room will be and the extra space they are going to have. Heating in the complex will be easier to manage with roof lanterns and extended roof providing improved heat control - always an issue for the elderly. Find out more!

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.

We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
