Greymouth Motorcycle Street Racing 2020

Jake Kenny Reporter from Community News

There were thrills and spills in the Greymouth Motorcycle Street Racing event held on Sunday October 25.

It was a fantastic day of racing with a great turnout of supporters who cheered their favourite racers along the way.

The day started off at 9am and racing was rainy and drizzling to start with for the first part of the morning, then clearing around lunch and drying the track out, making for some exciting racing.

Unfortunately the last few races were cut short due to the rain settling in again later in the day.

Seth Devereux #11 from Tapanui came up with notable wins in both Formula 1 and the B.E.A.R.S class.

There were no major dramas throughout the day apart from a few spills, but nothing too serious.
