Organisations in Tokoroa have come together to put on an awesome day for whānau and tamariki next Sunday! "There will be face painting, bead making, crazy hair, slip and slide, bouncy castles, a mountain bike pump track, and we have also got old school games like egg and spoon, sack race, three legged race and stuff like that" Will you head along to celebrate Children's Day?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
