💧 Community meeting about Morningside flood relief project

The Team from Whangarei District Council

Join us on Wednesday 7 May 2025 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at the Morningside Football Club.

🆕 Council has approved funding for the next stage of the project, which will further reduce the level of water accumulation in low lying areas of Morningside.

Construction for stage 2 will start in May 2025, beginning in the lowest lying areas up to more elevated areas, with completion expected in October 2025. This work will be carried out by contractors United Civil.
Intermittent traffic disruptions are likely on Morningside Road, Rawhiti Street and Jellicoe Street at various stages throughout the project. We will provide as much notice of these disruptions as possible.
