Flood of Temu requests …
On another site there is recently a flood of Temu requests.
People really should stop these ridiculous Temu requests. Do people not know that on average Temu looses $30 per order? That you need to install the Temu app to use it? And especially who is behind Temu - the Chinese Army? What do people think WHY the Chinese pump billions into Temu that they will never see again? Especially considering that Xi has promised reunification with Taiwan (if necessary by force!) before he leaves office?
Years ago I wanted to buy a security camera and was likely to buy one from China - but then read a review from a security researcher: he had bought that camera, gave it a fixed network address, and blocked that network address from connecting to the outside World … next morning he was shocked to discover that the camera had changed its network address and managed to call out to a Chinese server despite non-approved network addresses being blocked by default.
Furthermore there is a reason why Huawei is no longer allowed on the network in many Western countries and companies - Huawei is another company that in reality belongs to the Chinese army.
China is playing a long game - always has - and people happily do what they want. And what for? A "free" crappy gift? Seriously? Greed is not really an attractive trait in a person …
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Product recalls
I am appalled at the number of product recalls - salmon to snack balls to a huge range of toys. Not good enough manufacturers! Surely products are health and safety checked.
