We are a volunteer-driven organisation that works with West Auckland communities to take care of our backyard – making it a beautiful and healthy place for us all to live, work, play and visit. We host a wide range of projects that restore our environment, beautify our places and connect communities – from planting trees, to Schools Trash to Fashion, edible gardening in kindergartens and organising clean-ups. As well as empowering communities to beautify their neighbourhoods, KWB plays an active role in celebrating those who are taking active roles as guardians of their places with our annual Ecowise Awards. Keep Waitakere Beautiful is all about participation and since its inception tens of thousands of locals have got stuck in – either joining one of our programmes or creating their own projects!
