A little bit about me...
Hi my name is....Carol. My husband, Jim and I moved to Kapiti at the end of '21 from Auckland. We moved to get away from Covid in Auckland and also the violence that seemed to be building there. Also, importantly, so Jim would spend time with his elderly mother in Raumati. He had a job transfer so that was something, although he didn't stay there long, he started work for a little place in Otaki as a mechanical engineer at which he is very good and very much enjoyed. Unfortunately, that work is no longer there and we are faced with the prospect of selling our house and moving, probably back to Auckland, because that is where the work is. Hard times for lots of people, but it is arguably worse when you're in your sixties and broke!!! Any similar stories out there?
What or who is this?
I can fly but I have no wings, I can cry but I have no eyes.
