Event: Meet the Candidates for the Lambton Ward By-Election!

Jill from Te Aro

Wondering who to vote for when the papers arrive in your letterbox soon for the Lambton Ward By-Election.? This Ward covers a large area including the inner-city, Mt Vic, Aro Valley, Kelburn, Oriental Bay, Mt Cook, Thorndon and more - so whoever is elected will be representing a huge number of people in the city. Don't let this By-Election pass you by.

Come along to our Meet the Candidates event this Thursday, 25 January - 6 to 7.30pm at the Garden Room, behind St Peter's Church, entrance from Ghuznee Street - hosted by ICW (Inner City Wellington Residents Association) and EKTA NZ.

All 7 candidates will be there so it's a great chance to see who they are, what they stand for, and for you to ask some gnarly questions.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
