The shop will be closing for the Christmas holidays on Sunday 24th December at 2.00pm and reopening on Thursday 4th of January at 9:30am. The management and our volunteers wish all those that shop with us and support our cause a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The festive season is upon us and as such our opening hours will look a little different over the coming weeks. This will give our team a chance to take a much-needed break and spend quality time with their whānau and friends.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
