10 Nov 09:00 Alarm activation at Gravity Cellar Door. Nothing found, a defective smoke alarm? 
4 Dec 17:38 medical Galeo Rd, Not needed.
11 Dec 15:57 Car and motor bike crash on SH60 near Apply valley rd.
12 Dec 12:13 Brun off out of control on Pomona Rd. Put fires out.
12 Dec 20:01 returned to Pomona Rd, fires flare up.
15 Dec 01:47 power pole on fire, out on arrival, waited for Network Tasman
17 Dec 18:21 medical on Awa Awa Rd, not needed.
19 Dec 11:59 smoke in aera of Bronte rd. east. Nothing showing.

Call outs for the year = 78

Safety Tip – Be safe. 

Gas Barbecues
Always check the gas connection have a good seal and are not leaking before lighting
Keep portable gas barbecues well away from tents and caravans
Light the match before the gas is turned on
When cooking is completed, check the gas supply and appliance switches are turned to the OFF position

We have been short crewed on a few calls out this month. If you work or/and lived in Mapua and interested at being a firefighter come the see us at the Fire Station 3 Iwa St, Thursday after 7:00 PM
