Shop Local, Support Local

Beds4U - Palmerston North

A road construction project is one of the most disruptive events that any business can possibly face. Disruptions in traffic flow, parking restrictions, and a noisy, dirty construction zone can change the buying habits of even the most loyal customers. However, with Cuba Street’s future significant and improved changes, we believe that the council’s plan to introduce a sense of refreshment as they progress with better dining areas, more greenery and scenic views can be highly beneficial for us as a community. The roadworks will bring lots of challenges, but we support the council's decision and hope it brings benefits to our area.

But in the meantime by shopping at your local, you are helping to keep the community thriving. We don't wish to lose you as a customer and so we ask that you support your local by shopping here. We believe in supporting our communities, and we are proud to share that we’ve been a part of the community for the past 9 years. If you are a customer of ours, we want to thank you for your support. As always, we are committed to providing the best service and quality products to all of our customers.

When you shop local and support your community, you're making it possible for us to keep doing what we do best. But if you aren't already, we hope you'll join us in our upcoming 72hr Flash Sale where we’re bringing you quality beds and mattresses hand crafted in New Zealand.

You have helped us run the business for the past 9 years and we wish that this journey of ours continues as we love being your local sleep experts.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
