Water your thoughts?
The Government is proposing reforms to three water services in New Zealand. Although this is a Government process and we have limited influence over the outcome, we’re interested to hear directly from you to better understand the views of Lower Hutt about the Government’s proposals.
Head to hutt.city/threewaters to learn more about what the proposed reforms mean for Lower Hutt, and to complete a short survey before 7 April. We’ll use insights from this survey to inform our submission to Parliament when the reform legislation is introduced.
You can also make your own submission – we’ll provide more information about this process closer to the time.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
