Dangerous Traffic
All around the Ashhurst village there are signs advising trucks not to use their exhaust brakes, but this does not to stop from accelerating hard once they get northbound from the 'hump' by the library on Cambridge northbound. More than once a day I hear that big blue truck and trailer from that Bunnythorpe company really booting it and the kids at home really get frightened. One day someone will be innocently pulling out of Lincoln or Winchester streets and they won't stand a chance. Where's the local cop when you need him?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
