Wild birds of New Zealand 2022 calendar - kererū print giveaway
Thanks everyone for all your calendar pre-orders. As a way to say thank you, I'll be giving away 10 A3 (print size on A3 sheet is 27X29cm) art prints of this lovely kererū drawing by my daughter Caitlin Thomas-Riley. Winners will be drawn on Tuesday, 5 October from those that have pre-ordered a calendar.
Caitlin is just finishing her third year as a computer science/computer graphics student at Victoria University. She has gained As in illustration and will next year be undertaking her Masters.
If you would like to pre-order a calendar, they are $28 each (for a large A3-size), payable when the calendars are ready to be picked up from Woburn, Lower Hutt (possibly the end of this month/early October, but may be delayed at the printers because of lockdown). Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
