Volunteer options available now

North Shore Community Toy Library NSCTL from North Shore Community Toy Library (NSCTL)

We are looking for people in the community to help. The main thing we need help with is returning toys during our open hours. If you have a responsible teenager or have a parent or grandparent who is retired this would be ideal! We are looking for regular helpers (once a week/fortnight) and people who can be "on call" if we need extra's. If you (or anyone you know) is interested please message or email Sarah at secretary.nsctl@gmail.com

We are also looking for some new committee members if that would be something you could be interested in.We particularly looking for a roster coordinator (2 hours/ month) and a treasurer (1 hour/ week). There is no rush, but out current volunteers have been on for 5-8 years and live has become busy. We offer full training and ongoing support (for accounts we use Xero) and it is a great opportunity for someone to up-skill.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
