Support for children at Ascot Park Kindy
Donna Reed reported that a family in Wellington has donated money to Plimmerton Rotary to buy clothes for the kids at Ascot Park Kindy, hopefully, kids who will move up to study at Rangikura Primary School where some members are helping 5-year-olds with their reading. The Committee has developed a relationship with KMart who have very generously supported this project. Rangikura has agreed to store surplus clothing until it is needed. The kids at the Kindy spent many hours producing a beautiful card to present to Donna and her team.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
