Dear Neighbours, We are producing a non for profit book: Our Place - Stories of Local Life. Devonport 2020. The book features roughy 50 profiles of people and places that make Devonport so special but against the background of this unprecedented year. If you would like your name or business in the book as a supporter please Pledge by Thursday or to secure a copy as we are doing a limited run.

100% of proceeds from the book to go back into our local community to the Well Foundation; the charitable arm and the official charity of Waitematā DBH to support the essential workers at He Puna Waiora, the mental health unit near North Shore Hospital.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
