Wainuiomata Mall site blessed
It has taken a long time but progress is finally being made on the new shopping centre to replace Wainuiomata Mall.
On Thursday, representatives from Iwi, council, Countdown, Watts & Hughes, Wainuiomata Marae and Love Wainuiomata held a ceremony putting down a Mauri stone representing the life force or the heart of the building.
