Latest Metlink data on growth in patronage on buses in last week
Metlink's data below shows change of bus patronage/day over alert levels, compared with the same period 1 year ago. . Under Alert Level 2, patronage /day has increased over 1 week from 47% of same period last year to 57% on Thursday 28 May. We have reduced capacity of 40% with 1m physical distancing. Could affect significant number of routes this week. Work flexible hours & travel in off peak and walk or cycle if you can. We can bring additional services on "shoulders" either side of peak. Otherwise, Metlink asks that you be patient and wait for next bus if your usual bus is at capacity. Metlink will continue to be as flexible and responsive as it can. Thanks.
