Massive March tally of predators removed

Nicole Swain from Predator Free Normandale

Hi Normandale
I hope you are all taking your time to enjoy the neighbourhood.
Those of you that are still working in essential businesses. Keep up the good work and thank you.

WOW!! What a massive March we had.
Thank you to those who are trapping and reporting all your catches to us. I feel we are still a long way off before we "flatten our curve", but every catch counts.
March's Tally
4 Hedgehogs - 79 Mice - 83 Rats - 1 Stoat.
Total = 167 predators removed from Normandale

Our previous largest tally was August 2019 with
1 Hedgehog - 18 Mice - 83 Rats.
Total = 102

One of the cool things about this, is the increase in bird life we will have over time. More and more reports of Kakariki in Normandale are coming in. Just yesterday I saw one on the Zigzag track below Pekanga Rd. Keep an eye and ear out, and see if you can spot one too.

All the best and stay safe.
