Helping Our Neighbours
Are you keen to help others during our present isolation? Do you feel anxious yourself or need help of any kind? Pukekohe is a great and supportive community, but Covid-19 brings us many challenges. Some of us want to help others but don't know how. Some would welcome assistance but don’t know where to go for help or don’t like to ask.
At the request of our local MP, Andrew Bayly, Pukekohe Community Action is trying to match up people to create a community network of help. If you know someone who needs help but isn’t computer-savvy, it would great if you could phone them and complete the form for them. Or you could send me your name and number as a pm. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
