Volunteers needed

Eleanor Drake from Dementia Auckland

We are urgently looking for volunteers to come and lend a hand next weekend, Sat 9th and Sun 10th November. We need help running the sausage sizzle and selling raffle tickets to raise funds for Dementia Auckland. This will be held at five Noel Leeming stores throughout Auckland (Botany, Henderson, New Lynn, St Lukes Mega, Sylvia Park).

Date: Sat 9th and Sun 10th November
Time: Morning: 10am - 1pm, Afternoon: 1pm - 4pm
Shifts: 3 hours

A diagnosis of dementia is not just a diagnosis of an individual it’s of an entire family. Dementia Auckland provides FREE services supporting the community and those who are in a support role caring for someone with dementia. A carer is the hero that bravely walks beside someone with dementia, these funds support those taking care of others.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
