What's on: A Grandmother's tribe screening - Thursday 24 October
Join us for a screening of 'A Grandmother's tribe' and a talk with film director, Dean Easterbrook.
"When Grandmothers speak, peace will return to the Earth." (HOPI PROPHECY)
About the film:
Set between a tiny village and the largest slum in Africa, comes a story of two remarkable grandmothers.
A Grandmother’s Tribe is an award-winning (Finalist, DocNZ Festival 2016 // Humanitarian Award, Sonoma Film Festival 2007) for-purpose film that reveals the lives of countless grandmothers of Africa, left behind after the loss of their own children, who, with determination and tenderness are now responsible for the rearing of more than 13 million orphaned children in sub-Saharan Africa.
Directors, Dean Easterbrook and Qiujing Wong, of Borderless bring audiences an unobstructed story of Emmanuel Makokha and Silas Odhiambo and the grandmothers who have selflessly stepped forward to raise, educate and prepare them for a better future.

This can be true even if the life changes are a good thing, such as a move to somewhere you will love to live.
Once you understand why you have this feeling, you can reframe it as creating a new environment that will support your present life while reminding you of your best experiences.
