WARNING CAT AND DOG OWNERS CASTOR BAY

Diane from Murrays Bay

Sorry to have to write this post but it might save a precious pet's life. Please take extra care with your dogs and cats in Castor Bay. It very, very sad. A missing cat was found dead near a poison bait station in Castor Bay. This is a horrible death that no pet should ever have endure. I blame Auckland Council for this. I am part of group that has been asking Auckland Council to make it safe for our pets and small children and we get the most rubbish responses from them.

This year when you vote think of your pets. Paw Justice are interviewing all perspective Mayors that have agreed to be interviewed and asking specific questions around our pets. They are streaming those interviews on Facebook over the weekend.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
