Save the bees with seeds workshop
Did you know that one mouthful in three is directly thanks to bee pollination? Bee Aware Month is a chance for us to learn about the incredible value bees bring to our lives and find out how we can help them!
Around the world is there is growing concern about the health of bees. The humble bee is threatened by disease, mites, pesticide use and habitat degradation.
But there are lots of things YOU can do to BEE AWARE during conservation week.
That's why we're running a workshop with a Wellington-based beekeeper - because the best way to learn is by asking questions!
And we have lots of question and lots to learn about humble bumblebees (well, all native bees.. but we couldn't resist a rhyme)
Come along and get a feel for the beekeeper experience.
We will even make sensational seed bombs for you to scatter in your back yard.
Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
