Proposed Enrolment Scheme Amendment

Avondale Intermediate

The Avondale Intermediate Board of Trustees propose an amendment to the existing enrolment scheme under section 11M of the Education Act 1989, as directed by the Ministry of Education. The changes are to add new housing developments on the perimeter of our home zone.

We are required to consult on the proposed amendment with the community.

For further details on the proposed changes, please visit the schools’ website www.avondaleint.school.nz or contact the school.

Members of the community are invited to make comment regarding this proposed enrolment scheme in writing to: The Board of Trustees, Avondale Intermediate School, 12 Holly Street, Avondale closing 1 month from the date of this notice.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
