Rotary Grove Carpark Upgrade
Great to see work well underway at Rotary Grove, Northcote, upgrading the gravel pit into a sealed carpark. This carpark supports the Northcote Tennis Club as well as the playground and those exploring the park and route through to Onepoto Domain (pedestrians still have access during construction).
I've been wanting to see this carpark upgraded for some time and managed to get it added to the Kaipatiki Local Board's 2018/19 work programme, so I'm really happy it is finally underway :)

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
