World Vision Fundraiser Movie Night
'Rocket Man' 🎥- tomorrow Wednesday 5th June 5.40pm at the Penthouse!
My daughter, with others from her Charities Committee at their Wellington East High School, is organising a movie night as a fundraiser for the World Vision 40 Hour Famine, which is an annual event where students and individuals from all around the world give up something they love for 40 hours to fundraise 💲and raise awareness for the struggling children in South Sudan. The 40 Hour Famine is this weekend from Friday evening until Sunday midday.
This fundraiser will be screening the newly released, 'Rocket Man', the moving story of Elton John’s life so far.
Tickets are $20 and include a lolly bag🍬🍫 and a chance to win spot prizes. We will also be selling raffle tickets and baking 🍪🧁on the night.
If you are interested please contact us :-) - or just turn up!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
