The Team Reporter from Hamilton Press

Rachel Afeaki-Taumoepeau didn't know anything about bowel cancer six years ago. Then her mum was diagnosed, and it was terminal.
"We just can't understand how we missed [mum's cancer]," Afeaki-Taumoepeau said.
Later, her father was also diagnosed but, because his was picked up early, he's in the clear.
Read their story, and more about symptoms to watch out for, here.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
