Poll: Did you know Nelson is in water restriction stage 2?

Skara Bohny Reporter from The Nelson Mail

Nelson city councillors are concerned that people aren't getting the message that water needs to be conserved. Nelson has been in Stage 2 water restriction since February 15.
Did you know there was a restriction? How did you find out?
Stage 2 restrictions ban the use of sprinklers at home, handheld-hose watering of gardens only, and an encouragement to conserve water where possible. Share your tips in the comments!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
