Community Patrol Xmas Update

Catherine Law from Wellington South Community Patrol

Hello everyone. We have been relatively quiet on here for quite a while, so we thought it is time for an update:

We have had some incredible successes this year, including winning a Safer City award (our second one since starting in 2011) in early November. Several members of our team went to the Presentation of our award (See photos)

We still go out every Friday and Saturday night, helping to deter crime, as well as patrolling during the week. We have helped out at events (Newtown Fair) as well.

If you would like to know more about us, join the police in the future, or see what we do on a patrol, please either reply below or pm us. We are offering ridealongs to those of you whom are interested.

We don't get paid, but the stories are worth it :)

Leave us message :)

NBLY Conversations: What is the etiquette for bin day?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

We think there are unspoken rules for bin day, but are we adhering to the same ones?

Do you think twice about dragging your bin to the pavement in the early hours? Do you mind if neighbours put excess rubbish in your bin? Share your bin day etiquette and let's compare notes!

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.
